  Soil Preparation

  • In order to have a beautiful lawn that will last for many years, soil preparation is one of the single most important steps in planning for a new lawn. When you entrust Graff's Turf Farms to prepare your soil, you can sit back and relax and know that we will rototill your soil to a depth of at least 4-6 inches and add compost suitable for your area. Wrapping up the process with a fine grading as the last step before your sod is installed.

    • Make sure all pets, toys, and miscellaneous yard tems are removed from soil preparation area.

    • Mark all sprinkler heads and valve boxes with lawn flags in area to be prepped.

    • If there are areas that have unfinished landscaping, please detail this information with the soil preparation crew.

    • Be prepared to keep all traffic off of the prepped area.
